Morrison Planetarium celebrates 60th anniversary in GG Park
Having reached its 60th year of public astronomy education, the Morrison Planetarium at the California Academy of Sciences will be celebrating with special events during the second week of November.

Lawsuit filed over park athletic fields
The SF Coalition for Children's Outdoor Play, Education and Environment filed a lawsuit in Superior Court on Oct. 12 to halt the conversion of grass athletic fields at the west end of Golden Gate Park to synthetic turf. The plan would also install night-time lighting at the site.
