Robbery: Dec. 21, 3:35 p.m., Fulton Street and 39th Avenue
A woman was walking home after using an ATM machine at a supermarket when she noticed a vehicle following closely behind her. Seconds later, the victim heard someone walking up behind her.

The suspect pushed the woman to the ground and took her wallet, which contained the money she just withdrew. A brief struggle ensued but the suspect got away in the get-away vehicle.

Indecent Exposure: Dec. 12, 7:30 a.m., 36th Avenue and John F. Kennedy Drive
A woman was driving in Golden Gate Park near Spreckels Lake when she saw a man standing at the rear of his car. When she passed him, the man turned toward her, made eye contact, and exposed himself. The suspect was located and booked.

Drug Possession: Dec. 14, 5:25 a.m., Stanyan and Turk Streets
An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for a mechanical violation. While asking the 19-year-old driver for license and registration, the officer could smell suspected marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A subsequent investigation turned up a large amount of cash and the drugs ecstasy, marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms.

The driver was transported to Richmond Station and booked for possession of a hallucinogenic and a controlled substance.

Robbery, Purse Snatching: Dec. 15, 9:45 p.m., Geary Boulevard and 20th Avenue
A woman was walking when an unknown suspect approached her and yelled "Hey!" The suspect then grabbed the victim's purse and fled eastbound on Geary.

Forgery, Possession of Stolen Property: Dec. 15, 5:57 p.m., 2800 Block of Geary Boulevard
Officers were called to a bank concerning a possible fraud in progress. As they were entering the bank, the 32-year-old suspect was leaving. Armed with a description of the suspect, the officers detained the man.

A teller said the suspect tried to cash two checks. When asked for identification, the suspect produced two photo I.D.s but he was not the person whose picture was on the I.D.s. The teller contacted the account holder, who said the checks had been stolen a day earlier in an auto burglary in Marin County.

The suspect was transported to the police station for booking.

Attempted Homicide, Aggravated Assault: Dec. 16, 8:25 p.m., 2500 Block of Balboa Street
Officers responding to a fight-in-progress call were met by the victim, who was bleeding from the head.

He said he was visiting a friend who lived in the building when two roommates began to quarrel. A fist fight ensued. The victim attempted to break up the fight when one of the combatants hit him on the head with a table and attempted to stab him with a knife.

The 30-year-old roommate was taken to the police station and charged.

Robbery: Dec. 13, 12:30 a.m., Geary and Presidio Avenues
The victim was riding on a Muni #38 Geary bus, traveling westbound, texting on his i-phone when the suspect grabbed the phone and exited the bus. The victim chased the suspect a short distance but lost him when he slipped to the ground.

Robbery: Dec. 5, 4 p.m., 3400 Block of California Street
A volunteer helping a non-profit organization was working when he was confronted by a man who appeared to be intoxicated. The man said he lived nearby and was disturbed by the noise the bell the volunteer was ringing was making. The suspect kept approaching the victim in an aggressive manner, causing the victim to keep backing up.

Suddenly, the suspect grabbed the bell from the victim's hand and punched him in the face. The suspect fled eastbound on California Street.

An investigation was conducted and the suspect was identified and arrested on Dec. 10 and charged with robbery.

Armed Robbery: Dec. 11, 10:48 p.m., 48th Avenue and Anza Street
A man was standing on the corner when three males approached and commented on the victim's computer bag. One of the suspects said he was going to take the computer, spurring the victim to try to talk the suspect out of the robbery.

Getting upset, the suspect pulled out a knife and took the victim's wallet as well as the computer before fleeing.

Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Resisting Arrest, Camping in the Park: Dec. 2, 8:20 a.m., JFK and Tranverse Drives
An officer patrolling Golden Gate Park came across an illegal encampment. The officer located one of the males occupying the encampment and recognized him from previous encounters and issued citations. The officer had also been told by park gardeners that this male carries a knife.

As the officer went to speak to the male, he suddenly ran away. A foot pursuit followed and the suspect was detained. A knife was located on the male.

The suspect was taken to County Jail and booked.
