Hunt for Summer of Love
San Francisco City Guides hosts its fifth annual treasure hunt on Saturday,
Sept. 30. This year's event focuses on Golden Gate Park and the Haight-Ashbury
area to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Summer of Love.
The event begins at Kezar Pavilion as teams embark on an afternoon of fun using their collective sleuthing skills to solve riddles, hunt for clues, encounter historic costumed characters along the way, and discover the little known nooks and crannies that make the City special. Participants can put together their own teams, or individuals can register and be connected with a group on the day of the hunt.
The tax-deductible registration fee is $40 through Sept. 29, and $45 the day of the event. The treasure hunt is the primary yearly fundraiser for San Francisco City Guides, which provides free walking tours throughout the City. For information, visit www.sfcityguides.org.
