Battery: May 20, 9:30 p.m., 5100 Block of Geary Boulevard
It ended badly for a man and woman who had been involved in a relationship for about nine months.

The man confronted the woman about a tryst she was allegedly having with the man's friend. An argument escalated and the man pulled his vehicle over and demanded the woman leave. When she refused, the man pushed her out and attacked her on the sidewalk.

According to witnesses, the 22-year-old man pushed his girlfriend to the ground and hit her head on the sidewalk two times. He then took her purse and threw it on the roof of a nearby building.

Officers arrived at the scene and arrested the man. They also retrieved the 23-year-old woman's purse and took it to her at St. Mary's Medical Center, where she was taken for medical treatment. Officers noted that both the man and woman smelled of alcohol.

Felony Vandalism: May 8, 12:51 p.m., Clement Street and Sixth Avenue
A Muni bus driver on the 44 bus line stopped to pick up passengers. One of the boardees was smoking so the driver asked the suspect to extinguish his cigarette before boarding the bus.

The suspect told the driver that he was "uptight" and continued to verbally assault him.

At Sixth and Geary, the driver asked the suspect and his companion to exit the bus. Outside the bus, the suspect punched two rear door windows, causing them to crack. The bus driver drove to the Richmond Station and reported the incident.

Officers responded to the scene and detained the suspect, who had alcohol on his breath and blood on his fist. The suspect was transported to Richmond Station and booked.

Battery, Malicious Mischief: May 19, 2:10 a.m., 3100 Block of Clement Street
A customer in a local bar was told that he had to leave because it was closing time. When the 22-year-old suspect refused to cooperate, the bartender took the glass from his hand and escorted him to the door.

Several minutes later, a Spanish-speaking worker at the bar left to catch a bus home. While waiting, the customer returned and assaulted the employee, first with his fists and then with a box cutter that he pulled out of his pants pocket.

The bartender and another person heard the commotion outside and went to see what was happening. They grabbed the suspect and locked him inside the bar until police could arrive.

Meanwhile, about a half dozen of the man's friends arrived and started breaking the windows of the bar with planks from a nearby bench.

"I'm going to come back and shoot the place up," one suspect said. "I'm going to get you."

The suspects fled before police officers arrived, but the man who started the ruckus was arrested.

The employee who was attacked treated himself for a busted lip and other minor abrasions.

Criminal Threats: May 16, 12:40 a.m., 4200 Block of Geary Boulevard
A man evicted another man who was staying with him temporarily. The evicted man returned and broke out a window to the victim's residence.

While in the presence of officers, the suspect threatened the 31-year-old victim in Spanish.

"I will come back and I will kill you," the suspect said. "I will blow this place up and shoot you."

Because the 21-year-old suspect has credible gang connections, an Emergency Protective Order was sought.

Bank Robbery: May 16, 11:23 a.m., 3500 Block of Geary Boulevard
Police officers responded to a call from a bank that had just been robbed. The suspect gave the teller a note saying the bank was being robbed.

The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank, eastbound on Geary Boulevard. The investigation is ongoing.

Flasher: May 21, 10:50 a.m., Golden Gate Park
A woman was sitting on a park bench near the Conservatory of Flowers when a male approached wearing only a navy blue pea coat and started unbuttoning the coat.

The woman accused the suspect of being a flasher, as he was not wearing any pants, shoes or socks.

The suspect denied the accusation and walked away.

Robbery, Purse Snatch: May 8, 5:35 p.m., 5700 Block of Geary Boulevard
A couple was having dinner at a Geary Boulevard restaurant. The female victim hung her purse over the back of her chair while she was eating.

The suspects entered the restaurant and sat down at the table next to the victim. Shortly after ordering a soda, the suspects left the establishment.

Within minutes, the female victim realized her purse, with her her identification, cell phone, credit cards and money, was missing. She gave police officers a description of the suspects.

Commercial Burglaries: Between May 8 and May 10, Early Morning Hours, Various Locations
There were seven reported commercial burglaries along the Clement and Geary corridors during a two-day span. There were several different means of forced entry into the businesses. Food, money and cell phones were taken.

The SF Police Department's burglary detail is working on solving the case.
