Narcotics Paraphernalia: Jan. 11, 6:50 a.m., 5800 Block of Geary Boulevard
An officer on the way home from work noticed a man leaving his bicycle on
the street and walking to the side entrance of a store on the 400 block of 22nd
Avenue. The man started working on the door with an unknown instrument.
The officer called for backup while watching the suspect from a distance. Another officer arrived at the scene. When he approached the suspect, he noticed the suspect was hiding something in his sleeve. The officer, believing it to be a weapon, drew his firearm and demanded the man move from the doorway and put his hands in the air. After repeated requests, the suspect did so.
The officers handcuffed the suspect and a knife fell from his sleeve. The knife was severely bent and the door to the store had marks and broken plywood. One officer also found a substance suspected to be methamphetamine on the suspect.
The suspect was arrested, and the owner of the store arrived at the scene. He said the door was not damaged the day before. A glass pipe commonly used for methamphetamine was also found in the suspect's backpack.
The man was taken to the Richmond Police Station and booked.

back cottage of her mother's home. When the officers arrived and approached
the cottage, the front door was open, and both of the women were inside.
The woman could not provide any valid identification, but informed the officers of her personal information. An outstanding misdemeanor warrant came up on the suspect's information, and she was placed in custody and brought to the police station. She was identified by an earlier mug shot and booked.

stopped on 19th Avenue, near Lincoln Way.

Stolen Property, Possession with Knowledge, Receiving, Driving with Suspended
License: Jan. 15, 4 p.m. to 9.30 p.m., 1800 Block of Divisadero Street
A woman, the victim of an auto burglary, was contacted by a man who said he
had her stolen computer. The man said he could return the computer to her, and
that he had paid $300 for it. She agreed to meet with him and then contacted
police, who advised her to change the location to the intersection of Pine and
Divisadero streets.
The woman arrived at the location with a friend. Soon, the man called again, saying he would get to the location at 8:30 p.m., half an hour before the agreed time. While waiting, officers observed another man walking back and forth in the area, looking into restaurants and shops. At 9:30 p.m., the man turned east on Bush Street, and about five minutes later, officers saw a car coming from Bush Street and driving onto Divisadero Street.
The suspect in the car parked at a bus stop and walked up to the woman and her friend. He asked them to follow him to his car to exchange money for the computer. The woman, who had been instructed by police not to follow the man anywhere, refused. The suspect then walked back to his car, took out a computer bag, and handed it over to the woman.
Police then approached the suspect and he was detained. A records check showed the suspect's driver's license was expired and the man was cited for it. He was then taken to the police station and booked.
Traffic Violation Arrest, Falsity or Display of Identification Card or Driver's
License: Jan. 7, 4:25 p.m., 200 Block of Fifth Avenue
A police officer noticed an illegally parked vehicle on Fifth Avenue and stopped
by it. The vehicle's front windows were illegally tinted, so darkly the officer
could not see inside.
A man exited the vehicle. He said he owned a restaurant on the corner of the street and had just parked to unload.
When asked about the illegally tinted windows, the suspect said he had already received a ticket for them. He showed it to the officer, who noted the expired correction date on the ticket. The man was issued another citation for the windows.
When asked for his driver's license, the man handed it over. Through a records check, the officer discovered the suspect had a prior arrest, but the arrest records revealed another license with a different first name. That driver's record showed a suspended driver's license. When asked why he had two driver's licenses with different names, the suspect did not respond.
The suspect was cited for parking in a red zone and the officer said he could not drive until the license with his original name was reinstated. He was released at the scene.
