Robbery, Service Station, with Gun: July 7, 9:40 p.m., 7000 Block of Geary Boulevard
Two officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a service station in the 7000 block of Geary Boulevard.

The victims reported that that the suspect made a 30 cent purchase and left the station. The suspect returned soon after departing and made another purchase, but after opening the cash register to make change for the suspect, the suspect showed the victim a gun. The suspect removed the cash from the register and fled on foot.

The patrol officers took the victim's statement, including a description of the suspect. The officers referred the incident to an inspector at the SF Police Department's robbery detail. The victim informed officers that the service station has a video surveillance system. The inspector took the videotape as potential evidence.

Richmond District police units searched the area for the suspect, with negative results.

Bank Robbery, with Gun: July 11, 1:30 p.m., 2000 Block of Geary Boulevard
Police responded to a report of an armed bank robbery in the 2000 block of Geary Boulevard. Victims reported the suspect as being armed with a silver revolver. The suspect demanded money from a bank employee, who reported to the police that she tried to open her cash drawer but it was locked. The victim stated that she then hid under the desk and activated an alarm button. The victim remained under her desk until the suspect fled.

Another witness to the robbery stated they could only say that the suspect was wearing a dark knit hat and white shirt. The witness stated that the suspect took a clear plastic bag filled with money from the teller's window-area and fled the bank in an unknown direction.

Another witness reported he heard the suspect say: "Give me all your money."

Special agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation assisted in the investigation and took possession of the bank's video surveillance tapes. The FBI informed the SFPD that it would provide a copy of the tape to the robbery detail. A teller at the bank stated that the plastic bag contained $6,792.

Patrol officers searched the area for any additional witnesses or evidence and searched for the suspect, to no avail.

Residential Robbery, with Gun and Knife: July 17, 11:10 p.m. , 600 Block of 45th Avenue
Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery, with the victims reporting the suspects as being armed with guns and knives.

The witness stated that he and four friends had been at his home when the suspects entered the apartment. The witness stated the door was unlocked and the four men entered his apartment, one with a black handgun and another with what he described as a "ninja-style" blade about four-inches long with a serrated edge.

The victim reported to the police that the suspect yelled: "This is a jack! Get on the ground! Where's the money?"

One victim reported he was struck over the head with a bottle and another victim reported he was punched in the stomach and that one of the suspects held a knife to his throat, demanding to know where the money was. The victim stated that he and his friends were ordered to lie on the floor.

The apartment was ransacked and the victim reported to the police that his keys were stolen along with a number of unknown items. The victims stated that they did not see the suspects leave the apartment.

The police reported that the victims had multiple visible wounds, including bruises and cuts. The victims refused medical attention.

A neighbor reported to the police that he had witnessed a car with three men parked near the victim's apartment, but that he could not determine details about the suspects' descriptions or the license plate number of the car. The neighbor stated that he thought the men might be getting ready to break into the apartment and he began to call the police when they drove away. The neighbor cancelled the request for police assistance when the three men left.

Warrant Arrest, July 17, 1:17 p.m., Middle Drive West in Golden Gate Park
Officers on routine patrol in a marked patrol vehicle stopped their car and approached two men going through garbage cans. The officers reported that they engaged in a consensual conversation with the two men, who were asked their names and provided them to the officers. A computer check of the names revealed that one of the men had a no-bail felony warrant for forgery charges in Nevada. The Central Warrant Bureau confirmed the warrant and reported to the officers that Nevada would extradite the suspect.

The officers then placed the suspect under arrest.
