Police Blotter

Aggravated Assault with Weapon: Nov. 16, 4:26 p.m., intersection of Balboa Street and Arguello Boulevard
A 50-year-old man was stopped in his car at a stop sign at Third Avenue and Balboa Street when he honked at a car that drove through a stop sign - almost causing an accident. The man who beeped the horn kept driving eastbound on Balboa and pulled up alongside the other vehicle at Arguello Boulevard. All of a sudden, the suspect veered in front of the victim's car, blocking his path.

The suspect got out of his car wielding a crowbar and approached the victim, who put his car in reverse and sped backwards, turning onto Second Avenue. He saw the suspect turning his car around and following him as he drove in reverse.

The victim tried to turn around in a driveway but lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a telephone pole. The suspect, described as in his early 20s, stopped in front of the victim before speeding off southbound towards Fulton Street.

Police arrived to find the victim shaken-up but uninjured. The suspect was not found.

Disturbing the Peace, Resisting, Delaying or Obstructing Peace Officer Duties, Under Influence of Alcohol in Public Place: Nov. 9, 7:20 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., 6100 Block of Geary Boulevard
Police were alerted to a bar regarding a highly intoxicated suspect who had fondled a woman and threatened patrons.

As two officers entered the bar, they heard the suspect yell, "f___ you, mother f______!" The bartender pointed at the suspect, who was about six-feet-two-inches tall and weighed about 200 pounds, as the man causing the problems.

The police officers told the suspect they wanted to speak with him outside the bar, to which the suspect replied, "f___ you!" The police officers grabbed the 30-year-old suspect by the arms to take him outside but the suspect broke their hold and attempted to hit one of the officers with a backhand motion.

The officers performed a leg sweep take-down of the suspect and requested backup. After three minutes of struggling with the suspect, in which the suspect threatened to kill one of the officers, the two officers were able to secure him in handcuffs. It took seven officers to fully restrain the suspect and place him in an ambulance that was going to take him to a hospital to deal with a cut he received in the struggle. The suspect threatened to beat up the paramedics, too, and spat at everyone around him.

At the hospital, after sobering up, the suspect told police he attends Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and had been sober for eight months. The suspect remained in the hospital and was given a notice to appear in court.

Battery: Oct. 2, 3:38 p.m., Intersection of Presidio Avenue and Sacramento Street
A 35-year-old man pulled his car into a parking place with his wife and infant daughter. When a place opened up in front of them, they started to pull forward, only to be cut off by a black Mercedes Benz that made a U-turn to get the space. The man made a hand gesture to the driver of the car, a 35-year-old woman.

Both drivers got out of their cars and started arguing. The man got back into his car and moved back to his original spot. When he got out of the car, the suspect continued to yell at him. She then pushed him and hit him in the nose.

"Stop hitting my husband," the victim's wife yelled.

The suspect continued to hit, scratch and push the victim. Witnesses tried to restrain the woman, who pushed the victim's wife several times as well.

Police arrived and broke up the fight. The victim suffered numerous cuts to his neck and could not move his right thumb.

When officers tried to interview the suspect, she yelled at the interviewing officer, "I pay your taxes and you work for me," and, "I don't like your attitude, I'm calling your supervisor."

A computer check determined the suspect had no record on file and she was given a notice to appear in court.
