Lots of Action in Sunset District Last Year
As 2010 came to an end, state Sen. Leland Yee announced his candidacy to become the mayor of San Francisco; the Baskin-Robbins on Irving Street closed; the PUC gathered feedback for a proposed treatment plant for recycled water in Golden Gate Park; neighbors were upset at the SF Recreation and Park Department for leasing the Murphy Clubhouse; and Safeway showed the public revised plans for its housing and supermarket plan at Ocean Beach.

Express Bus for N-Judah Extended Past Trial Period
The bus shuttle express that was introduced to supplement the Muni N-Judah streetcar line this past summer has been extended past its six-month trial period. The bus picks up passengers in the Outer Sunset and takes them directly downtown, and vice versa.

Lawsuit Filed for Taraval Marijuana Permit
Supporters of a medical marijuana dispensary proposed for Taraval Street are disappointed that an initial permit approved by the SF Planning Commission in 2010 was later rescinded by the SF Board of Permit Appeals.
