Sunset District Apartment Rents Climb 23% in Past Year
Like a mushroom cloud, rents are rising from the City's recent tech-boom, due to the number of technology workers and other young professionals now moving into the area south of Market Street.

Owner Puts Sloat Blvd. Project Up for Sale
Plans for major housing and commercial development in the 2800 block of Sloat Boulevard appears to be on hold because the owner of the site has reportedly had trouble getting financing and has put it up for sale.

Go-carts Race Down 20th Ave. to Rebuild Park
In November there was a go-cart derby to raise money for the restoration of Larsen Park, including a new jet play area, a signature artifact along 19th Avenue that has been missing and all but forgotten for the last 20 years.

Parkside Library Throws Party to Celebrate Anniversary
About 175 people enjoyed a delightful afternoon at the Parkside Branch Library on Nov. 10 as it celebrated its second anniversary since being rebuilt with city bond dollars.
