Three suspects were caught stealing clothes from a department store. A loss prevention agent was conducting surveillance of the floor when she received a call from a sales associate informing her that three suspects were stuffing clothes into their purses.

Another loss prevention agent then left the surveillance office to observe the shopping floor, where she saw the suspects take clothes and enter dressing rooms. The agent observed the suspects take department store shopping bags out of a purse, rip tags off the clothes and attach new tags to the items. The agent also saw the suspects take a candy bar after purchasing some items from another department.

The agent stopped the suspects at the store's exit and performed a weapons search. She released one of the suspects to her parent without any charges being filed, but the other two suspects were booked after police officers arrived at the scene.

Drug Transportation, Possession for Sale: June 29, 7:49, Sloat Boulevard and 41st Avenue
Two plainclothes officers were on patrol in a police car conducting a narcotics surveillance. One officer saw a vehicle drive up and park and noticed that the front and back license plates on the car did not match. The windows also had dark tint on them, so it was difficult to see the suspects.

The officers followed the car as it drove off and stopped the vehicle for the code violations. The driver opened his door, and one of the officers noticed a plastic bag containing a white substance on the floor, which the officer believed to be cocaine.

The officers requested the driver to step out of the vehicle and handcuffed him. They also found money and a cell phone on him, which they believed to be tools for making drug transactions. The driver was booked for trafficking drugs and for his intent to sell the drugs on the streets.

Evading Police, Reckless Driving: June 20, 1:05 a.m., 19th Avenue and Holloway Street
Two police officers in a marked patrol vehicle observed a car driving between 60 and 70 miles per hour (m.p.h.) in a 35 m.p.h. speed zone. The driver was making quick lane changes without using turn signals. When the officers put on their overhead emergency lights to pull the suspect over, he refused to yield and sped up.

A chase continued southbound onto Highway 280 and increased to speeds between 120 and 130 m.p.h. The officers lost the vehicle, but were able to get the driver's information after looking up his license plate number. They discovered that he lived in South San Francisco and contacted the police department there, whose officers helped them locate the driver's house.

The officers spoke to the driver at his home, and he admitted to speeding but claimed not to have noticed the officers driving behind him. Police arrested the driver and had his car towed.

Possession of Loaded Firearm in Vehicle, Drug Offense, Resistance to Officer Duties: June 25, 12:44 a.m., John Daly and Junipero Serra Boulevards.
Three officers were working on violent crime suppression when they observed a known narcotics trafficker exit a building and walk towards a parked vehicle. The trafficker recognized the officers' patrol vehicle and immediately turned and re-entered the building.

The officers observed a man sitting in the driver's seat of the parked car, and began to reposition their patrol car to better investigate suspicious activity. However, the driver fled the scene. The officers were able to track down the vehicle and stopped the driver. They smelled marijuana in the vehicle and observed what they thought to be a firearm on the floor of the car, prompting the officers to draw their own firearms. After several requests, the driver finally exited the vehicle.

The officers found a switchblade knife in the driver's pocket, a large amount of money on his person and plastic bags of suspected marijuana in the car. The suspected firearm on the floor was discovered to be an airsoft gun, but a loaded firearm was discovered in the glove box and another bag of suspected marijuana in the passenger seat pocket. The driver was booked for possession of a loaded firearm, possession of marijuana and resisting officer duties.

According to the agent, the suspect bypassed all cash registers and exited the store. The agent stopped the suspect outside of the store and escorted him back to his office. The suspect wrote on a form that he shoplifted in order to cope with his drug problem. Two officers arrived and the suspect was booked on a citizen's arrest.
