Fraudulent Game or Trick:March 10, 9 a.m., 1200 Block of Judah Street
A man selling a couch online for $500 got an e-mail from the suspect saying he wanted to buy the couch and a check was in the mail.

When the check arrived, it was made out for $2,500.

The suspect e-mailed the victim and said his secretary had made a mistake and could he send a check back for the difference.

The victim complied and sent a Money Gram check to the suspect for $1,985.

A couple of days later, the victim's bank notified him that the $2,500 check he had deposited bounced.

Outstanding Warrant, Methamphetamine Possession:March 12, 7 p.m., Golden Gate Park
Plainclothes officers noticed a 36-year-old man in the park as being a parolee with an outstanding warrant.

A search of the suspect turned up marijuana and methamphetamines.

He was transported to the police station and booked. The drugs were deposited in the department's narcotics drop box.

Robbery, with Gun:March 25, 10:29 p.m.,Taraval Street and 46th Avenue
Four people, aged 19 to 23 years of age, were standing on Taraval Street talking when the suspect approached and grabbed a Sony play station out of one of the victim's hand.

"Give me your money and cell phone," the suspect said.

The victim gave the suspect his backpack.

The suspect then produced a handgun, pointed it at the first victim's stomach, and demanded money, cell phones and other items from the other three victims.

The suspect fled eastbound on Taraval Street. A search of the area was to no avail.

Aggressive Soliciting, Warrant Arrest:March 25, 5:51 p.m.,19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard
Officers were called to the intersection of Sloat and 19th Avenue concerning a man who was walking up to cars stopped at a red light and knocking on the windows to get a donation.

A search of the 53-year-old suspect turned up two glass pipes, suspected of being used to smoke narcotics. A computer search showed the man had a pair of outstanding $1,000 warrants. He was taken to Taraval Station and booked.

Store Burglary:March 25, 11:41 a.m.,3200 Block of 20th Avenue A couple entered a store and went separate ways. The male, carrying a large white bag, went to a tank top display where there were 11 tank tops, according to the clerk.

When the man tried to leave, the clerk noticed all of the tank tops missing. She asked the man to give back the merchandise.

"Get back or I will slap you," the suspect said.

The two suspects left the store and escaped.

The clerk looked at the store's video surveillance, which showed the male suspect stuffing the tank tops into the shopping bag.

Burglary, Residential:March 24, Between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.,1600 Block of 37th Avenue
An 81-year-old man returned to his home and noticed the side tradesman's door had been pried open. An inside door was also forced open.

Missing were two cameras, credit cards and about $100.

Officers determined the tradesman door as the point of entry and the home's front door, which was left wide open, as the point of exit.

A witness said she saw two youths, about 17 or 18 years of age, exiting the building.

Crime scene investigators were called to look for evidence.

Warrant Arrest: March 25, 5:54 p.m.,1100 Block of Judah Street
Officers on patrol in a marked police vehicle noticed the suspect sitting under a "no trespassing" sign near the entrance to a convenience store.

Officers told the man he would have to move.

A computer search revealed the 27-year-old suspect had a no-bail warrant for his arrest for possession of heroin charges in Rockford Illinois.

The suspect was taken into custody and held for extradition back to Illinois.
