Lakeshore Plaza Problems Continue, Neighbors Peeved
When representatives from Lakeshore Plaza Shopping Center's owners, A.M.B. Property Corporation, and their maintenance company, M.M.I. Realty Services, met with representatives from Lakeshore Acres Improvement Club (L.A.I.C.) in Mayor Willie Brown's office last summer, it appeared as if the neighbors' grievances would finally be resolved.

Boxing a Knockout in Return to Irish Cultural Center
Fast, ferocious punches flew at the United Irish Cultural Center's Fight Night Feb. 15 as 550 spectators cheered the return of amateur boxing to the Sunset District. The boxing match was the second in what may become a series of fights sponsored by the Irish Center at 45th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard, near the SF Zoo. Advance tickets for the event sold out in two hours.

Stonestown Village Plans Under Scrutiny
Earlier this year, Stonestown Village project manager A.F. Development presented a scaled-down proposal which scrapped plans for Stonestown Galleria retail expansion, a 12-story residential tower and two five-level parking garages.
